The Slovenian Army celebrates its 30th birthday today. A special ceremony marking Slovenian Armed Forces Day was held today at the training centre in Ig, just outside of Ljubljana. President Borut Pahor, the supreme commander, praised the army for its professionalism, dedication and preparedness as a military pillar of national security. Pahor also praised the recent investment law for the army as "a brave and wise decision", signalling better times ahead.
