This year's International Workers' Day, on the 1st of May, will again be marked by Covid-19 restrictions. For a second year in a row there will be no traditional celebrations with big bonfires on the eve of the holiday. Ahead of tomorrow's holiday trade unions called for job security, decent pensions, social security, and safety at work. The head of the Association of Free Trade Unions, Lidija Jerkič, also warned of the practice of employees being available for work 24 hours a day and called for such practices to end.
