The Žiče Charterhouse near the town of Slovenske Konjice won the International architecture award at the 39th Days of Architecture in Piran. The jury awarded the new movable roofing of the remains of the Church of St. John the Baptist and the temporarily lapidarium.
50 projects from 11 countries applied. The winners come from the studio Medprostor and they were praised for a daring and sensitive approach towards renovating cultural heritage.
