In 1834 in Paris, the French Impressionist painter and graphic artist Edgar Degas, who painted mostly figures in motion, dancing and horse racing, is born.
In 1953, despite the opposition of the whole world the execution of the married couple Julius and Ethel Rosenberg is carried out in the United States of America. They were sentenced to death for spying for the Soviet Union in 1951.
