In 1945 the Charter of the United Nations, signed by fifty countries, is adopted.
In 1963 U. S. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy during his visit to Berlin, uttered the famous phrase 'Ich bin ein Berliner', with which he wanted to express that he is also a Berliner. The statement was unfortunate, because Berliner in dialect means doughnut.
In 1991 on the mast in front of parliament the flag of an independent Slovenia flutters. The solemn declaration is conducted on Revolution Square in Ljubljana.
