A small ceremony will be organized today to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the battle of Dražgoše. The Dražgoše battle is known as one of the biggest resistances on Slovenia’s territory. It took place between the 9th and 11th of January 1942 and is one of the major World War II battles against Nazi forces. Usually each year many people choose to visit Dražgoše on the anniversary either by foot, bicycle or with an organized group. President Borut Pahor will lay a wreath at the monument to the WWII battle of Dražgoše today at noon.
