The Grand Prix of the Jury of the 16th Animateka International animated film festival has been bestowed on Acid Rain. The film is a reflection on being lost spiritually, emotionally and geographically, created by Polish director and animator Tomek Popakul. The film also won the audience award.
The British film Almost There by Nelly Michenaud won the European Young Talents Competition Programme prize
This year's Animateka featured a total of 360 shorts and a dozen feature-length films.
Further, this year a special focus was on the rich creativity in the Baltics.
The winning films will be screened today in Ljubljana and elsewhere.
