The DeSUS deputy group today urged party leader Pivec, who is also the agriculture minister, to immediately resign or face a vote of no-confidence.

The appeal was issued unanimously. It comes after she failed to provide adequate explanations to a series of recent revelations that raised questions about her ethical standards.

Pivec came under fire over dodgy accommodation payment arrangements during recent ministerial visits to winemaker Vinakras in the Kras region and to the town of Izola, which she was combining with family time in what critics’ claim came at the expense of integrity and taxpayers' money.
