Starting on Friday everyone entering Austria will need to register by filling out a form.
The goal of the scheme is to facilitate contact tracing in the case of coronavirus infections. Anyone entering will be required to carry evidence of the completed registration, in printed or electronic form. Everyone entering Austria will have to give their date of birth, email address, address of residence in Austria, date of entry, the likely date of departure, and a list of visited countries for the past ten days.
Austrian residents, daily migrants, people traveling only through Austria, and those with urgent family matters are exempt from the rule.
