The number of new infections in Slovenia reached a four-month high yesterday with 37 tests coming back positive. According to Milan Krek from the National Institute of Public health, most of the cases were imported from abroad and mostly from Croatia.
Meanwhile the number of new cases in Croatia hit a new record 208 cases. Austria called on its citizens today to start returning from Croatia as soon as possible. If the rising trend continues, Slovenia previously said it would also consider stricter border measures and a mandatory quarantine for everyone returning from Croatia.
