The coalition Pensioner's Party (DeSUS) is holding a leadership election today.
Current leader Karl Erjavec has been leading the party for 15 years now.
He is facing a strong challenge from Agriculture Minister Aleksandra Pivec.
Vying for the position as party leader is also Borut Stražišar, as the third candidate.
Analysts say, the results of the election could also impact relations within the ruling coalition.
