Polish kebab meat tested positive for salmonella
Microbiological tests for two samples of kebab meat preparation delivered to Slovenia from Poland have come out positive for salmonella.
The Food Safety Administration had ordered the product to be pulled out and destroyed.
The contaminated preparation was part of a shipment of 500 kilograms of kebab meat preparation that arrived in Slovenia on 19th December.
According to report, the meat does not originate from the controversial Elkopol abattoir in Poland, which had been in the centre for slaughtering sick cows.
