President Borut Pahor held a meeting with his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella in Rome yesterday. They both called for the National Hall building in Trieste to be returned to the Slovenian minority as soon as possible, following an agreement signed last year.
The two president also highlighted the good relations between the two countries and announced their plan to visit the 2025 European Capitals of Culture, Nova Gorica and Gorizia, in the autumn.
Presidents Pahor and Mattarella also discussed the issue of political representation of the Slovene minority in Italy's parliament.
