Tensions rising in healthcare

Prime Minister Marjan Šarec has called for calm amid rising tensions in the healthcare sector.

General practitioners (GPs) have been quitting due to excessive workload.

In average, a GP has up to 60 patients a day, having only 7min per patient.

The public health insurer has recently decided to increase the number of patients GPs are expected to cover.
