Gatherings of up to 100 people, both indoor and outdoor, will be allowed from Monday under a government decree adopted yesterday. The move is in response to a Constitutional Court decision holding the ban on public assembly.

Interior Minister Aleš Hojs said the Court would now be held responsible, after deciding that the right to public assembly takes precedence over public health.

Indoors, people will be able to gather only given there is at least 30 square metres of space per person or per members of one household. Masks will be mandatory.

Outdoors, one person per 10 square metres will be allowed to gather and a distance of 1.5 metres between persons will have to be observed.
