The municipality of Središče ob Drava and the local community of Kamnica were given vine grafts. The other three went to the Czech Republic and Hungary as well as the Spanish Embassy in Slovenia.
Mayor Saša Arsenovič, Maruša Makenauer, the 13th wine queen, and Sanja Ferjančič, the new wine queen, addressed those who gathered at the event.
The caretaker of the vine, Stane Kocutar, said that the old vine was in excellent condition.
