The takeover bid was finished 2 days ago. HiSense now owns over 95 % of Gorenje.

Within the bid Hisense paid 12 EUR per share and thus paying over 183 million EUR during the bid.

Analytics were positively surprised by the high price as it was double as the price on the stock exchange.

No information is available on the price of the almost 33 % of shares which were acquired before the bid.

The takeover is pending regulatory approval in markets where Hisense and Gorenje operate and the relevant approvals should be issued by autumn.

Hisense has decided to preserve the Gorenje brand and keep jobs in Velenje. The facility is to become Hisense's R&D centre in Europe.
