He beat the defending champion, Gianni Vermeersch of Belgium, by 43 seconds.

Yesterday, Tadej Pogačar won his 3rd Giro di Lombardia, or Tour of Lombardy, in a row.

By winning Il Lombardia, as it's also known, he became the first man in 36 years to win one of cycling's five annual one-day classics, or 'Monuments', three times in a row.

Primož Roglič finished 3rd behind Andrea Bagioli of Italy. It was Roglič's final race in the colours of the Jumbo Visma team.

Today, Mohorič powered to victory in the Veneto region of Italy in the second ever Gravel World Championships. The women's title was won yesterday by Kasia Niewdoma of Poland.
