The renovation of the Maribor-Šentilj rail track is officially complete. A high-profile ceremony was held in Maribor today to mark the completion of the project. It included the upgrade of 18km of existing tracks and almost 4 km of new tracks. The construction also included a new tunnel, new crossings, roads, noise barriers, signaling equipment, and what is now the longest rail viaduct in Slovenia in Pesnica. The project, worth EUR 314 million, received nearly EUR 129 million of EU funds and EUR 13 million from the Climate Change Fund.
