The Slovenian Drama Week festival opens tonight at the Prešeren Theatre in Kranj.
The festival is dedicated to Slovenian plays and playwrights. Tonight's opening will feature an awards ceremony and the premiere of a production based on a 1930s short story (Boj na Požiralniku - The Esophagus Battle) written by Prežihov Voranc and directed by award-winning director Jernej Lorenci.
A total of twelve productions will be played at the festival, which will also feature workshops, exhibitions, and round-table discussions.
The Slovenian Drama Week in Kranj runs until the 9th of April.
