Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar called on world leaders to wage a war against climate change. Addressing other leaders at the COP28 UN Climate Conference in Dubai today, she said the world should fight against climate change, the loss of biodiversity, and pollution.
President Pirc Musar also announced Slovenia's EUR 1.5 million contribution to the UN Loss and Damage Fund. She also drew attention to the recent wildfires and floods that hit Slovenia, adding that the rapidly changing weather patterns were a wake-up call for the world.
