In 1925, the British politician Margaret Thatcher is born. She became Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1979 to 1990. Due to relentless policy she was called 'Iron Lady'.

In 1972, a plane crashes in the Andes with the Uruguayan rugby team onboard. 29 passengers die and 16 survived the crash. They were found two months later. After the tragedy the film Alive was made.

In 1792, in Washington the foundation stone is laid for the White House.
