As of Sunday, persons entering Slovenia will be subjected to a week-long quarantine at home or at a location agreed with the civil defence. They will then be tested for the new coronavirus.
The government decree has shortened such quarantine from two weeks.
However, if a person declines to be tested after a seven-day quarantine or if test cannot be made, the quarantine will be automatically extended for a week.
Cross-border workers, cargo vehicle drivers and transit passengers will be excluded.
Another five Covid-19 patients died yesterday, bringing the death toll related to the coronavirus epidemic in Slovenia to 50.
