UK Trade Commissioner for Europe Andrew Mitchell welcomed the extension, saying it would allow a deal that would keep business running smoothly.

Slovenian exports to the UK were up by 11% last year, and imports from the UK were up 15%. It’s not clear what effect Brexit will have on those numbers. There are also Slovenian companies closely involved with British firms. For example, the aircraft maintenance firm Adria Tehnika’s key client is the British air carrier Easyjet.

Brexit is not set for October 31st.
