He was welcomed by his host President Pahor in the capital Ljubljana. The two presidents also took part in a business forum. Bulgaria's president Radev later also met PM Šarec and Parliamentary Speaker Dejan Židan.

Bilateral political and economic cooperation, the Western Balkans and regional cooperation were the main topics of discussion. Slovenia opened an embassy in Bulgaria's capital Sofia last year, while Adria Airways launched a regular route between the two capitals.
