The club says that Bišćan and the club's president Mandarić failed to reach a solution for further cooperation.

The 40-year-old former Dinamo Zagreb, Liverpool and Panathinaikos player, had one more year on the contract. He was the first coach to win both the championship and cup title with NK Olimpija in 25 years. He said he was disappointed, but confirmed that cooperation was no longer possible.

NK Olimpija's management is to name a new coach in the coming days.
