Slovenian farmers plan to stage new protests.

Anton Medved of the Farmers' union: ‘’Today they tried to form a working group to discuss these things by the end of April and to legally formulate all these requests. However, we cannot wait so long. We are not satisfied with the cooperation, so we will apply pressure and hold a general Slovenian protest.’’

The government said the latest changes to income tax introduced tax breaks for farmers that more than offset the taxation of these payments, but indicated it was willing to continue discussing this matter, the STA reports.
