Germany’s foreign minister Annalena Baerbock is in Ljubljana today. Upon her arrival she met with Slovenia’s foreign minister Tanja Fajon. The two ministers discussed bilateral cooperation, EU enlargement, and the war in Gaza. Foreign Minister Fajon called for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, advocating a two-state solution with the recognition of Palestine.
Touching on the EU, Germany's minister Baerbock said the union should prepare for a future with more than 30 members.
The two ministers also visited the national logistics centre Roje, where Fajon thanked Germany for its solidarity in the wake of the August floods.
Later, Germany's foreign minister was also received by Slovenian PM Robert Golob.
