The number of traffic accident deaths went down last year. A total of 86 people lost their lives in traffic accidents on Slovenia's roads in 2022, which is 28 less compared to the year before.
However, the total number of accidents was bigger in 2022. Last year the deadliest month was June, while the safest months were January and February.
Key challenges for the police this year will be to reduce speeding, drunk driving and the use of mobile and other devices while driving.
