Admiral Rob Bauer, the chair of the NATO Military Committee, is on a visit to Slovenia today.
Talks with the chief-of-staff of the Slovenian General Staff, will focus on the security situation in Europe and the development of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
Current debates in NATO are revolving around increasing defence expenditure. Slovenia currently spends under 1.5% of GDP on defence and has pledged to raise the share to 2% of GDP by 2030.
