Education Minister Darjo Felda cautioned against panic: ‘’According to the information we received from the police, the level of risk is extremely low, so we do not want to hinder the educational process in any way in the coming days, however, we have asked the school management to be a little more careful in the coming days on pupils and students and general events in school premises.’’

Classes were held as usual, with some students staying at home likely out of precaution, according to several primary school head teachers.

Mirko Škundrič, headmaster of the Leon Štukelj Primary School in Maribor, explained: ’We arranged only two entrances to the school, increased teacher duty, students can talk to the teachers, these are things we can influence and we think that this will be enough at the moment.’’

The threat, which appeared on a Slovenian news portal last week, namely in the comment section below a report of a recent school shooting in Finland, was soon deleted by the author.
