Author Otto Tolnai will be this year's recipient of the Vilenica Prize for Central European Literature. The announcement was made today by the Slovenian Writers' Association.
A poet, writer, playwright, essayist and translator, Tolnai is considered one of the most important contemporary Hungarian writers. The Hungarian author from the Serbian province of Vojvodina will receive the Vilenica Prize in September. This year's Vilenica Festival will run between the 4th and 9th of September under the slogan »The Diverse Face of Europe«.
