Members of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra are protesting today in front of the Culture Ministry. They’re demanding the resignation of the director of the orchestra, Damjan Damjanovič. The Culture Ministry had agreed to do so by the first of July. The protesters will be dressed in black. Almost 90% of members of the orchestra and choir gave the director a vote of no confidence last summer. The employees said he does not respect the rules and regulations of the music institution, is neglecting his duties, and is using the institute's funds irresponsibly and uneconomically. Damjanovič has denied the allegations.
