The Slovenian Beekeepers' Association will receive one of this year's European Citizen's Prizes in recognition of its efforts to declare the 20th May World Bee Day.
The prize is awarded by the European Parliament to individuals or organizations whose efforts help strengthen cross-border cooperation. The association was nominated for the prize by all of Slovenia's 8 MEPs.
The Slovenian Beekeepers' Association will officially be awarded the prize at a ceremony in Brussels on the 9th of October.
