The Association of Social Institutions has decided to leave the government task force for Covid-19 on 1 Aug.
It comes ahead of the next meeting of the group scheduled for next week.
According to the association, there is a lack of strategy for care homes when dealing with the new coronavirus infections.
One of its demands is that elderly people who get infected need to be isolated from the care home immediately.
