The government has decided that each tourist voucher can be used in several installments and not necessarily all at once as initially planned.

The decree will be presented in more detail this afternoon. Tourist vouchers are one of the main measures from the third coronavirus stimulus package, with which the government wants to help the tourism industry survive the coronavirus crisis. Every permanent resident of Slovenia will receive EUR 200 to spend on bed and breakfast or only on overnight stays in Slovenia until the end of 2020. Minors will get EUR 50. The vouchers are estimated to cost the state EUR 345 million.

It won’t be possible to exchange the vouchers for cash.
