In 1881 Turkish politician, general and statesman Mustafa Kemal is born. He becomes the first president of Turkey and was called Ataturk The Father of all Turks.

In 1894 Coca-Cola begins to be sold in bottles.

In 1945 Ana Frank dies in the concentration camp Bergen-Belsen together with thousands of other Jews.

In 1994 the photograph taken by Marmaduke Wetherell, which was thought to prove the existence of a monster in the Scottish Loch Ness, is declared a hoax.

Today we are celebrating so called ‘Gregorjevo’. This is the original lovers’ holiday in Slovenia.

1983 - Bonnie Tyler is No. 1 on the British singles chart with 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart'.

1991 - The R. E. M. album Out of Time is released.

1994 - Ace Of Base is at No. 1 on the American singles chart with 'The Sign'.

2003 - The Chinese government ordered the Rolling Stones to eliminate four songs from their upcoming performances in Shanghai and Beijing. The banned songs were Brown Sugar, Honky Tonk Women, Beast of Burden and Let's Spend the Night Together.

Leta 1894 so v stekleničkah začeli prodajati Coca-Colo.

Leta 1945 je v koncentracijskem taborišču Bergen-Belsen umrla Ana Frank.

Leta 1994 so fotografijo Marmaduka Wetherella, za katero so menili, da je dokaz za obstoj pošasti Ness v škotskem jezeru Loch, razglasili za potegavščino.
