Slovenia carried out a record number of Covid-19 tests yesterday, 3,557. It also recorded a record number of new infections, 137. Government spokesman Jelko Kacin said two-thirds of the new infections are a result of local transmission, while one third of the cases remain to be of unknown origin. Four patients infected with the coronavirus also died yesterday. There has been an increase in cases at retirement homes again. The government says it will enforce the wearing of face masks in all crowded outdoor public spaces and also in classes for all school-children attending 7th grade or higher. Schools say they're shocked by the decision.
