The police is recording a sharp rise in the number of illegal border crossings.
It reported more than 15,000 illegal crossings by the end of November this year. That's a 70% increase compared to the same period last year.
The majority of migrants come from Pakistan, Algeria and Afghanistan.
Meanwhile the mayors of border towns with Croatia held a meeting with Interior Minister Poklukar about the impact the migrants have on their communities. The mayors expressed satisfaction with the dialogue and efforts to find solutions.
