The annual commemoration at the Russian chapel took place this afternoon. The chapel, located below the Vršič pass, was built by Russian prisoners of war in 1915.
It serves as a war memorial and a symbol of the ties between Russia and Slovenia.
The keynote speaker was the president of the National Council Alojz Kovšca.
He called for solidarity among the nations, especially in the face of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
