Slovenia's domain name .si celebrates 30 years tomorrow.
It was formally registered with the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority on the 1st April 1992.
Slovenia's first choice was to have an .sl domain, but that was already taken by Sierra Leone.
Today there are almost 150,000 sites registered under the .si internet address.
Hosting a reception to mark the anniversary, President Borut Pahor, said the setting up of a domain name helped pave Slovenia's path to independence, democracy and international recognition.
To mark the anniversary, Register.si intends to present the milestones from the past three decades.
