Simona Kustec will stay on as minister of education, science and sport.

42 MPs voted in favor of the vote of no confidence, four short of the required outright majority. The opposition and the non-affiliated MPs accused the minister of a belated and chaotic preparations for the new school year in light of the Covid epidemic, the STA reports.

Minister Kustec said the motion of no confidence was an attempt to silence women in politics and dismissed all accusations.

She committed to continue to work responsibly.

This was the second time Kustec faced a motion of no confidence.
