A new electronic tolling system for cargo vehicles and buses will be introduced today that will enable trucks and busses to continue driving without having to stop at toll stations on Slovenian highways and expressways. According to the national motorway operator, DARS over 100,000 heavy vehicles have already been registered for the DarsGo system for electronic tolling. The tolling will be carried out through a total of 128 portals that are mounted above motorways and expressways, connecting to DarsGo electronic tags that cargo vehicles and buses are required to buy and attach. Divers without the tag, drivers that do not have sufficient credit on their DarsGo tags and drivers that reported a wrong toll category will be fined with 800€ or more.
