There will be a referendum on three issues in Slovenia, including the future of public broadcaster RTV Slovenia.
The opposition Democrats (SDS) announced they had collected more than enough signatures for the referendum.
The party hopes to add the items to an upcoming election in order to avoid extra costs.
The three issues are: changes to RTV, changes to the government cabinet and a deferral of the act on long-term care.
Presidential elections are scheduled for the end of the month and a possible second round on November 13. Local elections will be on November 20, with a potential second round in December.
