France officially takes over the EU presidency today from Slovenia.
France will preside with EU Council for the next six months. The French presidency says it will focus on reforming EU’s asylum policy, the Schengen area and climate change.
Yesterday, EU's leadership congratulated Slovenia on its job in presiding with the EU. EU Commission President Von der Leyen highlighted the coordination of Covid-19 efforts, and the initiatives for sustainable and digital transitions.
