The government has revised its vaccination strategy, which now envisages 61 vaccination centres across Slovenia. In its revised strategy the government also states that one of the main goals of the vaccination program is to reduce the number of deaths from Covid-19.
The priority groups remain the same, with health workers on top of the list, followed by people over the age of 80, then 75, 70, and patients with chronic diseases. These will be followed by diplomats and other government officials in view of Slovenia's upcoming EU presidency. The goal is to have at least 60% of the population or 1.2 million citizens inoculated as soon as possible.
