The Slovenian government has decided to shorten the curfew from between 9pm and 6am to between 10pm and 5pm. The new rule will apply starting on Saturday.
The curfew has been in place since 20 October last with the government arguing its necessity due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The cabinet had been planning to shorten the curfew two weeks ago, but the Covid-19 advisory team opposed such a proposal by Interior Minister Aleš Hojs, the Slovenian Press Agency reports.
