The summer tourist season is at its peak, which means that most Slovenian roads are full of tourists heading towards the Croatian coast. This results of course in long waiting times at border crossings and delays on Slovenia’s highways.

The most backed up highway is currently the A2 highway from Maribor Towards Ptuj, which continues as a local road towards the Border crossing Gruškovje Macelj.

At the weekends the delays can reach up to 6km and drivers have to wait up to 2 hours to exit the country.
