The House of the Carniolan Honey Bee was opened in Višnja Gora today.
Located inside a converted old school, the house presents the heritage of the Carniolan bee and innovative beekeeping solutions. Local officials expect the house to boost tourism and business in Višnja Gora. The house is also home to a centre for innovative technology, a tourist information centre and a beekeeping museum. In the future it will also feature a café, honey shop. Around 10,000 people in Slovenia are involved in beekeeping.
