All of the hikers injured by lightning yesterday on Mt. Triglav have been transported down by helicopter. Reports says 18 hikers sustained injuries from lightning strikes yesterday while descending Slovenia's highest mountain. Two of the hikers, which sustained serious injuries, were immediately transported to the UKC Ljubljana hospital, while the rest spent the night in a hut at Mt. Kredarica under medical supervision. The head of the rescue operation, Iztok Arnul, said it was a lucky day as no one was really prepared for such a mass operation.
Among the injured hikers was also one child and two foreign nationals.
